Propely is building an intelligent property management platform that is becoming the daily operating system for an industry ready for digital transformation. Today, more than 10,000 professionals use Propely every month to manage and operate thousands of properties across Norway. Our ambition goes far beyond that: to become the leading global platform for property operations.

We are now looking for a Head of Engineering who wants to help shape that journey.

This is not a maintenance role. This is an opportunity to help scale a product already used at significant scale into the next phase technically and organizationally.

Build the tech platform that modern real estate will run on

The technical challenge is significant: building a scalable platform that can support thousands of properties, complex operational workflows, and an expanding ecosystem of integrations. Propely is not a nice-to-have tool: it is the daily proptech hub where property managers, owners, and operators run their portfolios.

As Head of Engineering, you will play a central role in defining how that platform evolves over the coming years.

Build and scale the engineering organization

Propely is growing quickly. You will help shape how our engineering organization operates, how teams are structured, and how we scale development as the company grows internationally.

Work with modern technology at real scale

Our stack includes React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Google Cloud Platform, with a modern product architecture and strong development practices already in place.

You will help evolve this platform to support new product capabilities, increased scale, and new markets.

Join an ambitious team

We are a highly collaborative team with short decision paths, strong trust, and an eNPS above 70. Product, design, and engineering work closely together, and ideas move quickly from concept to production.

You will work with us in person from our office at Epicenter Oslo.

What you will work on

Define the long-term technical direction

Help shape the technical vision for Propely over the next years, including architecture, scalability, and how the platform evolves as we expand internationally.

Lead and inspire the engineering team

Support and develop a highly capable, ambitious, young team of engineers while helping create an environment where people can do the best work of their careers.

Scale the platform

Ensure our systems can handle increasing scale, complexity, and new product capabilities as the platform grows.

Improve how engineering works

Continue evolving our development practices around code quality, testing, CI/CD, observability, and release processes.

Explore new technologies

Help identify and implement new technologies, including AI-driven capabilities that can significantly improve the product and how we build it.

We think you might be a great fit if you

• Have previously led or scaled engineering teams in a high-growth company

• Have significant experience building and scaling modern SaaS platforms

• Have experience managing teams of engineers and helping develop technical leaders

• Have strong architectural instincts and experience making long-term technical decisions

• Enjoy mentoring engineers and building strong engineering culture

• Are excited by ambitious products and difficult technical challenges
